Yankee Autumn Fruit

I just love this girl and her candle reviews. They are right on the money.  She seems to frequent a lot of candle places that I love to shop in, such as Yankee.

This post from a week ago on what she purchased from the Semi-Annual Sale.  Personally, I just went a little crazy there myself.

Here are some of the scents she picked up:

• Dune Grass – I have not smelled nor tried this one.  She states it is a grassy smell with a lot of fresh notes.
• Autumn Fruit – Love this one and have several myself.  It is fruity and sweet.  The reviewer loves it as well.
• Balsam & Cedar – strong scents and fills the whole house with smells of Balsam & Cedar.
• Harvest – I have not tried this one, but it is one Yankee’s top selling scents.

Cherries on Snow Yankee Candles

I love Yankee candles!  They are *probably* my favorite scented candles.  Those or Trapp.  It is hard to decide and I like them at different times.

Here is a video of reviews on current Holiday & Winter Scents from this year.  Here are some of the candles she touched on and reviewed:

• Cherries on Snow – I love this one! I have purchased two so far this season, and I find them absolutely delicious.  The tester loves it as well.  She likes that it has a “true cherry scent”.  She describes it as Cherry Juicy Juice, which is so funny, because I thought the same thing.
• Black Cherry – darker, tarter, and more syrupy.  This is one of my favorites as well.
• Gingerbread – the reviewer finds this one to be the same exact scent as offered years ago; however, she notes the color of the wax has changed.  She states this is the all time best gingerbread scent she has ever smelled.
• Christmas Cookie – I love this one!  It reminds me of holiday baking.   The review loves it as well and reminds her of Christmas memories.  It smells like fresh baked cookies with buttercream icing.
• Jack Frost – I have not seen this one in stores.  She states she found it in the “Treasures” section of the store, which means limited production.  It reminds the reviewer of peppermint and vanilla with an extreme coolness.

Trapp Holiday Candles

With the holidays coming closer and closer day by day I have been working on making my home more inviting and delicious smelling!  Since Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner I have been craving baked goods, sweet fruity candles and warm Autumn scents.

Here is list of my top five favorite brands for scented candles as of today:

5. Scentsy – this is actually known as a “wick-less candle” as it does not burn.  You simply place the wax bars in a dish and let them melt via the heat of a small lightbulb.  They have all kinds of different burners and scents.  Right now I’m loving “Birthday Cake”, “Christmas Cottage” and “Festival of Trees”.

4. Glade – Available at just about any grocery or drug store Glade never disappoints.   They smell good and they’re cheap!  I like the fact you can pick one up with shopping for toilet paper and pizza rolls.  My favorite is the cinnamon apple scent.  I typically have this one burning in my kitchen at all times when I’m home.

3. Tocca Candles – these are the most elegant of candles.  They are a bit pricey but worth every penny.  I first purchases a Tocca candle after falling in love with their perfume “Colette”.

2. Yankee Candles –  you gotta love Yankee!  With so many scent options and never a disappointment with the company or quality you can’t go wrong with them.  Currently I’m burning “Christmas Cupcake”, “Pomegranate Cider” and “Cherries on Snow”.  Heaven in a jar!

1. Trapp Candles – these are so lovely!  Their motto is ” a bottle of perfume in every bottle” and with one lit and sniff you know this is true.  They have many holiday fragrances available such as “Holiday” , “Lemon Sugar Cookie” and “Orange Clove”.
